“He was very gracious about respecting the fact that we wanted to build this company. How we work has changed and will change even more over the next few years.” On meeting Steve Jobs: “You look at mobile and all the amazing stuff that has happened the last few years. We pay attention to that, and then help them take these ideas to more people.” On mobile: “There are special people out there who have these great ideas, have conviction around them and build great teams. We think more about who is going to be competing with what we are going to be doing, not with where we started.” On acquisitions: The reason people use Dropbox is because they really love it. You only discover these problems and how to solve them as you get more and more data on how people use it.” On competitors: It took us many years to be able to build the product. “The problem we are solving is really hard. I thought, how long are we going to be doing this? I never want this to happen to me again.” On innovation: At Dreamforce ’13, CEO Marc Benioff sat down with 30-year-old Dropbox CEO, Drew Houston, to discuss an array of topics, from what inspires him, to the future of mobile. Dropbox is an online storage service with more than 200 million users, including four million businesses.
